The Korean Society of Food Science and Technology (KoSFoST) founded in 1968 is a voluntary, nonprofit scientific association in the field of food science and technology. The KoSFoST is endeavoring to elevate the level of food science and technology in theoretical and practical aspects by providing scientific and technical information to food industry, stimulating community education and training programs, and finally, making timely recommendations for the benefits of general public.
In 2019, at Songdo convensia, Incheon in Korea, more than 2,000 professionals and students in the field of food science and technology, representing academia, governments, and industries will attend the 2019 KoSFoST International Symposium and Annual Meeting from June 26 to 28, 2019. In particular, the event will be held under the theme of "New Paradigm for Future Food Science". We invited world-renowned active scientists for plenary lectures; Prof. Jose Miguel Aguilera at Universidad Catolica de Chile (PUC) in Santiago from Chile, Prof. Colin Hill at University College Cork from Ireland, and Prof. Tai Hyun Park at Seoul National University from Korea).
The KoSFoST is devoted to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in broad areas of food science and technology that include chemistry, biochemistry, processing, engineering, safety, packaging, microbiology, biotechnology, and other food related disciplines.
There are lots of opportunities of exposing yourself to the most current trends in new scientific findings, future technology developments, valuable food ingredients, and potential business impacts from this annual event. This annual event will be the largest one in food science and technology sector in Korea.
